Upon request, we can provide you with a list of IP addresses that you're tested from. Customers often use this list to whitelist our IPs in their firewalls or ignoring website hits from our tests in their website stats. We know that customers don't want to have to frequently update their firewalls and stats configurations every time our network changes. For this reason, we have created a "Constant IP Group". This special group only includes IPs in our network that are permanent. New IP additions to this group are added in bulk and only after giving everyone in this group ample time to adjust their settings. While some web sites use this pop-up technique legitimately, others use it as a means to display unwanted content. InfoGenius and AlertBot only use pop-up windows to display requested content and will never deliver unwanted content via a pop-up window. To configure your internet browser to display pop-ups from AlertBot, follow the step by step procedure found below for your particular software package.

Many companies provide free internet Toolbars that install into the internet browser you are using and include a pop-up blocking utility. While there are many to choose from, the following instructions are for the most popular Toolbar programs.

Google Toolbar

The Google Toolbar includes a windows pop-up blocker utility. If you have the Google Toolbar installed, you will need to disable pop-up blocking for the AlertBot Manager. To disable pop-up blocking for the Google Toolbar, follow these steps:

Locate the Google Toolbar in the Internet Browser you are using.
Locate the "Blocked" button that is on the Google Toolbar. This button has a count of the blocked pop-ups along with the word blocked.
Click on this button to allow pop-ups with in the AlertBot Manager.

Regional Internet Outages

Our monitoring systems have been designed with a high level of redundancy to safeguard against many types of failures, including regional Internet outages. These safeguards ensure you the following:

Monitoring is Not Interrupted - Since we run multiple Test Stations geographically located in many regions, if there is a general internet outage in any of these regions, our monitoring service will continue to monitor your servers from our Test Stations located in the other regions.
False Alert Protection - Because we always verify your web site or server errors from at least two different Test Stations geographically located in different regions, we are able to accurately identify regional Internet outages and avoid sending you false Alerts.

When your server is located inside the region that is experiencing the Internet outage, we do send you Alerts.

Keep in mind that during general Internet outages, Alerts we send you may not reach you if your mobile service provider is within the region affected by the general Internet outage.
