Billable Steps for Transaction Monitors

We provide several different types of transaction monitors. The type of transaction monitor you select for your plan sets the limit on the amount of Billable Steps that can be used in a script for the monitor.

A step is considered to be a single command row within a test script, but not all steps are considered to be Billable Steps. Most steps are free and unlimited. Only the steps that use the commands listed below are considered to be Billable Steps and are limited:

open
clickWhenPresent
clickAtWhenPresent
clickWhenVisible
clickAtWhenVisible
pause
Any command that has the word "wait" in it.

If you require more Billable Steps in your script that what has been allotted to your monitor type, please contact Help Desk for information on adding more to your plan. There is no limit to the amount of billable steps a plan can support. If you are unsure as to how many steps your current plan allows for, please reference your Sales Quote.
