How Do I Export Charts from the AlertBot Manager?

You can export the data from the charts in the Reports section several different ways. In order to be able to export the data, you will need to have the ActiveX control installed. Currently, the ActiveX control is only available to be installed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. This control will enable you interact with the chart data.

If ActiveX is installed, click on the Copy icon in the far left of the options bar above the chart you want to copy. This will give you the option of “Copying as a Bitmap” or “Copying as Text.” Copying it as a bitmap will copy the chart as a fixed image. Copying it as text will copy the data only so you can paste the data into a spreadsheet or word processor program.

If ActiveX is not installed, the chart will simply appear as a fixed image and you will not be able to access the data directly. If you cannot install the ActiveX control, you can use the “Print Screen” function to copy a screenshot of the chart and then paste it into a graphics program. This will allow you to view the data outside of the AlertBot Manager. However, without the ActiveX control, you will not be able to copy the data and manipulate it in a program such as Excel.
