Monitor Failure Due to Redirect on Non-Redirecting Web Page

A monitor will fail if Follow Redirects is set to False and you do not have a foward-slash after the last directory in your URL path. The reason this redirect happens is explained thoroughly in the Related Article listed below named "Unexpected page redirect error caused by Test Scenario misconfiguration". Please see that article for more infomation.

The recommended solution, as outlined in the related article, is that you should end ALL directories in the URL file Path with a forward slash ( / ).

An alternative solution (but not recommended) is to set the Follow Redirects field to "True". This will cause AlertBot to stop reporting an error, however the redirect will continue to happen. The Follow Redirects feature is used to alert you if your website is redirecting when you expect it not to be. By setting the Follow Redirects Field to "True" we will no longer be able to alert you of any unexpected redirects.
