Monitor Frequency Field

The Monitor Frequency field allows you to choose how often you would like your website or server to be tested. You can choose the test frequency that you feel most comfortable with. Typically, this is a trade off between the monitoring cost and your tolerance for website or server downtime. The most popular test frequency and our recommendation are to test your web site or server at a 5 minute testing frequency.

Note that the more often we test your site, the more quickly and accurately we can detect a failure and alert you. For example, if you choose to have your website tested every 30 minutes, and your website fails seconds after the last test, then your website would be down for up to 30 minutes before you are alerted. This is usually an unacceptable amount of downtime for many business websites.
