Response Time Limit Field

The Response Time Limit field allows you to set the maximum amount of time you want to allow for your page to load. If it does not load within this time, your page will be considered to have failed its test. This allows you to ensure your web page is loading within an acceptable amount of time.

A time limit of 15 seconds is recommended if you only want to be alerted during very severe performance issues. If you want to ensure your website is meeting very high performance standards, a 5 seconds timeout value is recommended, however do keep in mind that you will recieve more frequent alerts as your performance fluctuations throughout any given day. A value smaller than 5 seconds is not generally recommended because tests performed from outside the country will take longer to load your page and may frequently trigger alerts.
