Time Compression

Data is compressed in 4 ways:

Hourly data is the average of all of the test results from that single hour of testing.
Daily data is the average of all of the test results from that day.
Weekly data is the average of all of the test results from that week.
Monthly data is the average of all of the test results from that month.

Test data is compressed in relation to how long ago the test was run. Since minute details of newer data are much more important than the small details of old data, new data is stored with only light compression. As the data gets older, it is compressed in the following increments:

Test data between now and 28 days old is compressed into hourly data. (28 days of hourly compression)
Test data between 28 days and 119 days old is compressed into daily data. (91 days of daily compression)
Test data between 119 days and 483 days old is compressed into weekly data. (52 weeks of weekly compression)
Test data between 483 days and 1215 days old is compressed into monthly data. (24 months of monthly compression)

Note: When viewing data within AlertBot Manager, you are able to view data at higher compressions than it is currently in. For instance, hourly compressed data can be viewed at hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly increments. Daily compressed data can also be viewed at daily, weekly, or monthly increments, but can no longer be viewed hourly due to the compression.
